Installing Beup Live 0.3 onto DS

Welcome to the guide to installing a very nice MSN client for the DS.

First download the Beup Live 0.3 folders (Beup Live 0.3e and the Beup Live Directories) from here: http://www.area-ds.com/htheb/Beup/Beup.html

You will need WinRAR, a archiver that can open the Beup file. Get it from here:http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm Download the WinRAR 3.71.

You will need to patch the Beup .nds or .gba file with the corresponding DLDI patch for your media device. Again, the patcher and patches downloads are in the DSReader guide.

Send the .nds or .gba file to the root of your media device, and also send the Beup folder to the root as well.

Enter your current MSN email address and password, and it shall sign you in!

Happy MSN-ing!

DS Organize 3.2 Help

This is the guide to installing DSOrganize Version 3.2 on DS.

First, download a DLDI patcher and the DLDI patch that works with your media device (download links are in the DSReader guide)

Then, download DSOrganize 3.2 from here :http://www.dragonminded.com/?loc=ndsdev/DSOrganize

If you are using Datel Games And Music as I am, there is a specially pre-patched .nds file in the download, so G 'n' M owners will not have to patch DSOrganize, but is you are using any other meida device you have to patch it.

Patch the .nds file, and send it to the root of your media device. Then send the DSOrganize file to the root of your media device too. Check that in the 'Resources' file there are two files:

load.bin and exec_stub.bin

These load your homebrew apps and games from DSOrganize's own browser.

If you are using GBAMP, R4Ds, M3 Simply or Supercard DS there are custom exec_stub.bin files available for download from the same page as the DSOrganize download. If you need these custom files, delete the default one in the 'Resources' file and place your custom in to replace it.

Boot DSOrganize 3.2 from your media device, and it should run properly.

Thanks for reading.

DLDI Patcher here: http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI/ Scroll down to the bottom and donwload the one that is right for your system.
DLDI Patches here: http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI/ (If you are using Datel Games 'n' Music, use this patch: http:// chishm.drunkencoders.com/temp/gmtf.dldi)
Then patch the nds. file with your compatible media device patch.
Finally, go into the zipped folder and extract the .nds file, the arial.ttf file and the alice.txt sample text. Send these to the root of your media device, and select your font sizes, etc.

Operation: Slide your stylus up the touch screen to open the menu. The folder symbol opens a book, the book symbol opens saved bookmarks, the DS Symbol opens the settings menu and the T symbol configures your font., To load a font, select it from the zipped folder (arial or gara) then send it to the DSReader file on your media device.
To send books to your DSReader app, download a text file-type books (or an e-book) and send it to the DSReader file on your media device.

Comic Book DS Download

Right. I have had so many requests for this app, so here is how to install it.
Donwload:
Comic Book DS .zip:http://moonbooks.net/moonbooks/download.php?view.338 Just go to the little blue arrow, your download should start.
To install, go into the zipped folder and extract everything to your desktop.
Put these items to the ROOT of your media device:
ComicBookDS.nds (or sc.nds and ds.gba, depending on which media device you have)
CBDS Folder (all of it)
Then, to run it, select ComicBookDS from your media device.
Menu Screen:
Library: This opens all your saved and downloaded comics to read.
Wifi: This connects to a offline server where you can view loads of comics.
Settings: Clue is in the name.

Saving .cbds files to your DS:
Simply download a .cbds file, I recommend this site for them: http://moonbooks.net/moonbooks/download.php (or make them yourselves using some downloadable apps)
Send it to the CBDS file on your DS.
Then go into ComicBookDS, select library and choose your comic.
Happy comic-reading!

My Downloads

I recently downloaded some delights from the DS homebrew scene, and they work like a dream. I downloaded Comic Book DS, DSReader, Protein DS Scratch, Beup and World Of Sand DS. They are all fantastically smooth-working and very complex, not like those disasters of the DS homebrew scene (e.g Light Corridor, Lapinou). I would recommend the downloading of these applications and games, they are worth the DLDI patching etc...etc.....
